WMTC 2017 Results

SASMO Indonesia is excited to announce the much-awaited results of the World Mathematics Team Championship (WMTC) of 2017. WMTC is an international team oriented competition where teams from diverse countries come under one roof for the love of Mathematics. Though the main focus is on team competitions, WMTC also give out individual awards to students. SASMO Indonesia has collaborated with WMTC to enrich and enhance valuable skill sets among the students for years. This year over 1200 students took part from over 20 countries globally.

There are essentially three categories in the competition: Junior (up to Grade 6), Intermediate (up to Grade 9), and Advanced (up to Grade 12). SASMO Indonesia teams performed exceptionally well out of the 200 teams that participated. We are hereby proud to present to you the detailed results of the competition this year.

  • SASMO Indonesian Junior team received the First Runner up award and was overall recognized as the Second best team in the competition. We are honored to inform you that the Indonesia Junior team consisted of all girls.
  • SASMO Indonesia Intermediate team received the Second Runner up award and was overall recognized as the Third best team in the competition.
  • SASMO Indonesia was also delighted to receive the Champion award for the competition.
  • Our team was also given the 9th Runner up award amongst the 100 teams.
  • In the Individual round, our students received 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 6 Bronze Awards on the whole.

SASMO Indonesia is proud to have sponsored and trained the winning teams for the competitions. We take great pride in our students and believe in promoting their academic abilities on a global scale through these competitions. Our heartiest congratulations to all the participants and parents who were a constant support for us throughout this journey!
